    Position Title: Director of Coaching

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Time Commitment: (Part-Time) to start, developing into full-time

    Status: Regular, non-exempt

    Position Summary: The Director of Coaching is a role that will have the responsibility of building the coaching ministry of Renew Clinic and keeping good standing relationships with our church partners, donors, and corporate/organizational partnerships. The Director of Coaching will be responsible for the recruitment of coaches, coordinating, and training coaches. The Director of Coaching will work closely with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to provide consistent care for the participant, to help strategize on community development, and the development and implementations of coaching curriculum and training.

    It is important all parties who volunteer, contract, or are employed with Renew Clinic are aligning with Renew Clinic’s vision to build a flourishing Christ-centered recovery community in Knoxville and surrounding cities.

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

    Recruit potential coaches, create criteria for coaches, interview coaches, assign coaches to participants, and train coaches.

    Provide orientation for new coaches (ethical standards, healthy boundaries, protocol, confidentiality, etc.)

    Assign participants to coaches. The Director will be diligent about getting acquainted with the coaches to be able to discern the best assignments.

    Provide coaching/training schedule for the year for coaches in collaboration with Executive and Clinical Director.

    Participates in team Bible studies

    Assist coaches in navigating difficult situations and conversations.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Assist with fundraising and community events, as needed.

    Follow rules and requirements of all federal, state, local, and accrediting bodies.

    Consistently exercise discretion and judgment regarding the treatment and services provided to clients

    Responsible for providing consultation and education programs to coaches and those interested in becoming a coach.

    Responsible for creating a community environment for coaches

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    The ability to work both independently and as a positive team member while balancing a dual role in the agency.

    Keep our partnering churches updated on Renew Clinic and work to build other relationships with churches.

    Responsible for setting up tables at resource fairs.

    Other assigned tasks.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Preferred to have a bachelor’s degree in a field such as psychology, theology, counseling, biblical studies, or social work or equivalent experience.

    Experience: Experience in coaching, outreach, recruitment, training, and public speaking.

    Skills: Ability to provide a variety of direct and indirect service modalities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to train coaches and create curriculum for the coaching/on-going training. Ability to be a “go-getter” and take initiative on growing the coaching program and holding coaches and participants accountable in a loving and direct way.
